Nick's Commentary: I’m humbled to have the opportunity to do a special collaboration with the Outrigger Duke Kahanamoku Foundation!   In 1957, Duke Kahanamoku was honored on the show “This is Your Life,” where he received heartfelt visits from friends and colleagues and reflected on his incredible journey. This episode truly captures Duke’s spirit of aloha and his legacy as the father of modern surfing, an Olympic swimmer, and an all-around waterman.

I’m deeply honored to create an art piece in his memory. Recently, I’ve been captivated by the challenge of designing intricate pieces that appear simple. For Duke, I wanted to explore the breadth of his skills and achievements visually.
